According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, in the first half of 2025, China's exports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) totaled 7,257.99 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 23.94% compared to the first half of 2024. The export value amounted to RMB 2.239 billion, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 14.57%.
Breakdown of Tungsten Product Exports from January to June 2025
From January to June 2025, China exported the following tungsten products:
Tungstic acid: 102.40 tons, a year-on-year increase of 341.38%.
Tungsten hexafluoride: 204.70 tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.60%.
Sodium tungstate: 22.10 tons, a year-on-year increase of 87.29%.
Ammonium metatungstate: 1,738.22 tons, a year-on-year increase of 65.65%.
Unwrought tungsten, including bars and rods obtained simply by sintering: 1,136.54 tons, a year-on-year increase of 237.00%.
Tungsten wire: 191.94 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.87%.
Tungsten trioxides: 350.48 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 76.24%.
Other tungsten oxides and hydroxides, nes: 197.77 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 70.32%.
Ammonium paratungstate: 162.50 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 42.52%.
Carbides of tungsten: 588.57 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 71.48%.
Ferro-tungsten: 1,382.79 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.71%.
Tungsten powders: 659.23 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 29.53%.
Tungsten waste and scrap: 199.07 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 40.20%.
Bars and rods, exclude those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, etc.: 196.27 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 42.92%.
Additionally, from January to June 2025, China exported:
Knives and cutting blades, for machines or for mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 790.25 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.17%.
Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or for mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 954.57 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.23%.
