Dark blue nano tungsten oxide may be applied for preparing thermal insulation masterbatch and be used to produce AKS-doped tungsten wire, i.e., tungsten wire doped with Al, Si and K elements. Moreover, studies have shown that the quality of blue tungsten oxide powder affects the performance of the AKS-doped tungsten wire. Therefore, it is necessary to have an in-depth understanding of ammonium paratungstate (APT) as a precursor in the preparation of blue tungsten oxide.
At present, due to the pressure of environmental protection of tungsten smelting, AKS-doped tungsten wire manufacturers can only purchase most of the APT through the APT manufacturers who are externally oriented. However, the produced ammonium paratungstate not only has different qualities, but has different crystal forms and technical specifications as there are different qualities of tungsten sources, a variety of mineral sources in China, numerous manufacturers of ammonium paratungstate and uneven technical level of APT production. That is to say, the crystal form of ammonium paratungstate which is produced by different manufacturer may be different, such as, a regular shape or a single crystal type. In the large-scale production process, changes in APT need to be compared.
